A word from Kia
Welcome to the room
I turn 50 in October. I could throw a party. Instead I am doing the thing I have been carrying quietly for a few years now.
There is a scripture that grounds me: His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Everything. Already given. Which means the only person I have been waiting on is me.
I have watched a lot of women — myself first — sit at a red light that already turned green. Engine running, everything we need already in the car, still waiting for somebody to wave us through.
So on October 24 I am opening a room. An honest day about the permission we are waiting for and the permission we already have. Real conversation across the areas that shape a woman's life, and time at a table with women who will know your name by the time you leave.
I would like you in it.
